About me
My name is Emily Bennett and I survived vet school… you can too!
VetStudyNotes was born during my journey through veterinary school. I struggled a lot at the beginning and started creating my own study notes to help me stay afloat. These notes not only helped me, but have since supported over 12,700 students in making vet school just a little more manageable.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, know this: you're not alone. Veterinary school is mentally and emotionally demanding. I truly hope these clean, clear, and structured guides help you stay organised and confident as you work through all the information, because trust me, there’s a LOT of it!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions, need guidance, or just want to talk to someone who’s been through it. The struggle is part of the growth. We’re training to understand the science behind animal health, and to play a crucial role in their care and well-being, and that’s incredibly meaningful.
You’ve got this, future veterinarian!

I've been in your shoes
Vet school can be lonely.
It’s not something that’s talked about a lot, but it should be. In those moments of uncertainty and doubt, when you're by yourself and overwhelmed with material, it can feel lonely.
I remember studying in my room during my first semester of vet school thinking,
“Do other people feel as overwhelmed as I do?”
and
“Maybe I’m not tough enough for vet school.”
If I can offer any encouragement to you, it’s this:
You are NOT alone!
Every single veterinary student has been in your shoes and has felt like this.

The Challenge Makes You Stronger
It’s not an easy thing.
In fact, it may be the most challenging thing you will ever face in your life. Now, looking back from the outside, I realize how much I grew in those alone moments.
I grew in my maturity, my critical thinking skills, my empathy for animals and their owners, my time management, and so much more.
Next time you feel those growing pains of vet school, know that you are growing, and being molded into the veterinarian you’ve always wanted to become.
You got this, future vet!
